Hi if you would like to have some area zoomed you have to use viewport tool. Viewport is just a rectangle that marks the interesting area of your map.

Viewport button is rectangle with eye in the button bar.

I too want to create a number of SVG images; zoomed into portions of my map. If i create more than one viewport; then view the map; all the map is shown not the area outlined by the viewport. I guess i have to only have one viewport at a time on the map? Then take a snapshot of the SVG image each time; then delete that viewport and create a new one for the new selection?

You are right, currently it is possible to create mulitple viewports on single map, but only one (selected in main container drop down) is used in rendering SVG.

This is one of feature request that we consider to implement in (near) future.

Thanks for reporting.

The easiest solution for you right now is:
1. Have two browser tabs opened - in one ShareMap editor, and in other SVG rendition
2. Create all viewports you would like to have
3. Switch viewport in Main container properties and save
4. Switch to rendition view do full refresh (CTRL+R) and save SVG
5. Repeat step

Also we consider adding function directly saving SVG files from editor if we receive voices that our users desire such functionality.
