Resolution flaw

I am trying to make maps of individual countries. SVG-maps. It doesn't work.

It does work for openstreet-maps. You zoom in, create a viewport and then view SVG and save.

But that doesn't work for other kinds of maps like natural maps.

I found out that the webapplication simply can't handle it. Creating a map of Europe for instance works flawless. Natural, openstreet map, whatever but selecting a region in Europe doesn't.

Can this be remedied in some way? Is there a workaround?

Hi, thanks for reply - I looked into your map. The problem with the natural map background is that does not exists in resolution required, so you have two options

* Decrease SVG resolution by setting it in viewport properties (600x677 px will work)
* Switch background to background that have more detailed resolutions - Word Relief (CC-SA license) might be a good choice

How do I decrease SVG resolution? Where can I find the viewport properties?

You have to click on viewport at Layers tree (right-bottom side) and then change size in Viewport properties (left-bottom side).

Please take a look to this screenshot:
